Timothy G. Miller is an MSAC, Licensed Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). He received his Bachelors Degree in Communications from Buffalo State College in 1988 and eventually earned his Master’s Degree in Addictions Counseling from Grand Canyon University in 2012. Timothy has worked as an Advertising Account Executive at MCA – Universal Television from 1994-98, and Senior Vice President of Syndicated Advertiser Sales at NBC Universal Television from 1998-2008. In 2008, after much success he decided to take some time off to address personal concerns and then he voluntarily entered Intensive Outpatient treatment (IOP) for Alcohol Dependence and Major Depressive Disorder at UMDNJ in Monmouth Junction, NJ. While in treatment and enjoying a sober lifestyle he then determined it was time for a career change. Timothy enrolled in the Masters Degree program at Grand Canyon University and received a Master’s Degree for Addiction Counseling in 2012. He joined the Local Advisory Committee on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (LACADA) for Middlesex County from 2010-2017, and then became the instructor for Intoxicated Driver Resource Center IDRC in Middlesex County from 2017-2019. Timothy was hired at Damon House in 2012, passed the ICRC oral and written board exams to earn his LCADC, and in 2015 was promoted to Clinical Director of Substance Use Services. Additionally, he has been working as part time therapist/counselor with IDRC clients at Laszlo Center 4 Hope and Healing since 2018 and happily enjoys his position to this day. Timothy celebrated 14 years of continued sobriety on July 17, 2023. He is proud of his two daughters, Briana Miller, 25, who earned her Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy and Ashlin Miller, 23, in her 2 nd year of Law School at New York Law in Manhattan.
